Kari Martinez First Grade I received my B.A. and multiple subject teaching credential from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Ca. After four years at Pacific, I decided to stay an additional year and earn my M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. While in my Master's program I was a long-term substitute teacher for a second grade class and a special education day class. After graduate school, I moved to Los Angeles and taught first grade. I have experience with grades two, five, one and special education classes, along with much substitute teaching. In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, the mountains, and the snow... pretty much anywhere outdoors! I love attending sporting events and spending time with my friends and family. I love the smell of fresh rain. I enjoy the winter season but summer is my favorite time of year. I love to travel and hope to visit Europe soon. I am excited to be teaching first grade and am looking forward to an eventful and rewarding year!
